Today marks the 35th anniversary of The Eagles album One of These Nights becoming the number 1 sellling album just seven weeks after its release.  We celebrated with side one on Vinyl Monday, catch it at 10AM Mondays on 95.7 WAOR.  Plus, The Eagles have a lot to celebrate.  Just recently The Eagles tour was slated as the top 8th highest grossing tour at the half way point of the tour season, grossing 28 million dollars.  Classic Rock is alive and kicking!

A month and a day after Eric Clapton staged his third Crossroads Guitar Festival in suburban Chicago, a two-hour highlight film will be shown tonight in theaters across the country. In addition to Clapton, the all-day show featured Steve Winwood, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, ZZ Top, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Johnny Winter and many others.DVD and Blu-Ray versions of the event will be out on November 9th. For a list of theaters, log onto NCM.com.
Clash of the Titans is new to DVD and Blu-Ray today. Extras include deleted scenes, a running picture-in-picture feature and an alternate ending.
Repo Men finds Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. It comes with deleted scenes, commentary and specials on the effects.
A dysfunctional New England family weathers tough times in the dark comedy Accidents Happen with Geena Davis. It comes with deleted scenes and the featurette "When Featurettes Happen."
TV that's gone digital includes the Tom Selleck tele-film Jesse Stone: No Remorse.

The Runaways is new to DVD and Blu-Ray today. Twilight star Kristen Stewart plays rocker Joan Jett in her early years. Cop Out stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as a pair of bickering cops on the hunt for a stolen baseball card. Kevin Smith directed. The adaptation of the DC Comic The Losers finds a black-ops team betrayed and abandoned on a mission in Bolivia. TV that's gone digital includes Jersey Shore's unrated first season, the second and third seasons of My Boys, the third season of Battlestar Galactica and the fifth season of Matlock.

Last fall's concerts celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are coming to DVD. TimeLife will release a three-DVD set September 28th with all the performances seen during the HBO special, plus 16 others not included in the telecast. Includes Crosby Stills and Nash, MickJagger, Stevie Wonder, Simon and Garfunkel, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Metallica, U2, Jeff Beck and Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. The set will be available in stores with Best Buy having an initial 30-day exclusive on the Blu-ray edition.

Jerry Lee Lewis has completed a new album packed with guest stars. Mean Old Man will be out on September 7th. The guest lineup features Eric Clapton, John Fogerty, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Nils Lofgren, Robbie Robertson, Ringo Starr, Slash and many others.

KISS fans will get a treat tonight as the A&E network airs two special shows on the band. First up at 9:00 [ET/PT] is the 100th episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. It will become TV's longest-running family reality show, overtaking MTV's The Osbournes. It's also the premiere of the show's fifth season. Then at 10:00 is KISSteria, a one-hour behind-the-scenes look at their 35th anniversary tour of Australia in 2008.

The Bounty Hunter is new to DVD and Blu-Ray today with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. It comes with a digital copy, a making-of special and a feature on shooting in Atlantic City. Greenberg stars Ben Stiller as a slacker musician who finds love while house-sitting at his successful brother's place. Ugly Betty's America Ferrera stars in Our Family WeddingLance Gross, Forest Whitaker and Carlos Mencia co-star. A grief-stricken couple learns that their late son has a baby on the way in The Greatest with Pierce Brosnan, Susan Sarandon and Carey Mulligan (Oscar nominee for An Education). Chloe stars Julianne Moore as a woman who hires a hooker to test her husband's fidelity. Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried (from TV's Big Love) co-star. TV that's available includes the first season of White Collar, the fourth season of Psych and the final season of Saving Grace.
