WAOR-FM: Rock Your Block Official Contest Rules

How to Enter the Contest:
a. The Rock Your Block qualifying will start Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Qualifying will end on Thursday, August 26, 2010. One (1) grand prize winner will be selected on Friday, June 26, 2010; Friday, July 30, 2010; and Friday, August 27, 2010.
b. To enter the contest, contestants must go to any Indiana Martin’s location and text the code to 35350 to be entered to win. Also, with the purchase of any Budweiser product at Martin’s, the code will be printed on the receipt.
c. Additionally, members of the “Rockin’ Rolodex” will receive a message on Fridays during the course of the promotion with the code to text in.
Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all WAOR listeners who are 21 years of age or older and reside in the Michiana Metropolitan area. Employees of WAOR, Federated Media, the licensee, United Beverage, Martin’s Super Markets, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Michiana Metropolitan area and the members of their immediate households are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Winner must be able to provide a valid social security number in order to be eligible.
c. Winner must have a valid photo ID to verify their identity when claiming a prize.
d. There is a thirty (30) day waiting period between contests to be eligible to win. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
e. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from WAOR valued at $600.00 or more once every six (6) months.
Prizes:
a. One grand prize winner will be drawn on Friday, June 26, 2010; Friday, July 30, 2010; and Friday, August 27, 2010.
b. Grand prize winners will be awarded a Block Party for up to 50 people.
a. Prize includes:
i. $150 in gift cards
ii. Martin’s Catering package worth $685.00
iii. A WAOR remote broadcast with a live WAOR DJ from your block party
iv. Total Value: $835.00
c. Fifteen (15) runner-ups will be drawn each time a grand prize is awarded.
a. Secondary prizes include:
i. Budweiser Kettle Grill
ii. 24 speed Bike
iii. 19” TV
d. Because of the nature of the promotion, the grand prize Rock Your Block parties must be held within the Michiana area (defined as Elkhart, Starke, Marshall, LaPorte and St. Joseph counties in Indiana and Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph counties in Michigan).
a. All Rock Your Block parties must be held by Sunday, September 5, 2010.
e. Secondary prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days at the WAOR studios.
f. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted or redeemed for cash.
Selection of Winners:
a. Winners will be randomly selected from a texting database courtesy of Budweiser.
b. Winners will be notified by a WAOR staff member.
c. Decisions of the station management with respect to the contest are final.
Conditions:
a. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes awarded to winners will be reported, if required, on IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent, and a winner of a prize valued at more than $600 may be required to acknowledge the prize valuation at the time of award.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, picture or other likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Contest winners will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600.00 or greater or where prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by WAOR. Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold WAOR, its corporate licensee and all officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or contest.
Miscellaneous:
a. WAOR, its affiliates, and its parent company are not responsible for system failure, acts of God or natural disasters.
b. WAOR reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest in its sole determination and necessary changes may be made at any point in time during the contest without prior notice. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
c. No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
d. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualifications at the discretion of WAOR.
e. Copies of the written contest rules are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WAOR at 237 Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or at www.waor.com.
